Sometimes creative talent needs a little bit of financial help to reach its full potential.

Whatever your creative passion, look no further than the Young Scot and Creative Scotland’s Nurturing Talent – Time to Shine Fund.

Who can apply?

Anyone aged 14-20, living in Scotland. Individuals can apply for up to £200 in funding while groups of two or more people can apply for up to £750.

Applications from professional arts organisations will not be accepted.

Can I apply for funding on behalf of an organisation?

Only if it can be clearly demonstrated that you, as an individual or a group, are the key decision maker and planner of a one-off artistic development project or initiative.

What kind of thing can I apply for?

The fund provides financial support to help nurture talent in a number ways. From recording a demo with your band, to putting on an exhibition of your own artwork, and lots more in between.

How do I apply?

You can complete an application form onlinedownload the printable application form, or call the Young Scot Infoline for free on 0808 801 0338 to request an application by post.

The next deadlines for applications in 2015 are:

  • June 14th
  • August 23rd
  • October 18th
  • December 13th

Applications are assessed by a Grants Panel comprising of young people from the National Youth Arts Advisory Group and staff from Young Scot and Creative Scotland.
